International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) training course on the safe use of safety harnesses in scissor lifts, telescopic and articulating booms, vertical platforms, van mounted platforms, truck mounted platforms and telehandlers with integrated controls.

Please Note: If you do not purchase the harness safety kit when booking the course then you will need bring your own PPE kit. If you do not have a harness & lanyard set we can loan you one on the day.

Course Objectives
To enable delegates who operate MEWPS' to identify and select the correct form of safety harness and lanyard, and be able to inspect, maintain, monitor, fit and use them effectively.

All those in your organisation that uses supervises or manages the use of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPS) and needs to be made aware of the correct selection, inspection and use of safety harnesses to prevent falls.

Certification
Successful delegates will receive an IPAF Certificate of Competency.

PPE Requirements
Our IPAF Operator training courses require the following PPE:

• Safety Helmet with Chin Strap
• Safety Glasses
• High Visibility Waistcoat
• Full Body Safety Harness with Short/Adjustable Restraint Lanyard (available for loan)
• Safety Footwear

We recommend that you purchase our harness safety kit when you book the course at £49.95 + VAT (for equipment valued at £85!), so you are equipped to complete the course and fully protected when you go on-site after the successful completion of this course. Please note: The kit includes the items listed above, with the exception of safety footwear that you must provide yourself on the day.

If you do not purchase the kit when booking the course, you will be required to bring your own PPE kit on the day. If you do not have a safety harness we can loan you one on the day.

Also, purchasing the safety harness kit from us will ensure that you are notified when the formal inspection of the harness is required so that you will not be prevented from going on-site. Details of our harness inspection services can be viewed here.

Course Duration
IPAF safety harness training courses are a half day (typically 8.30am to 12.30pm).

Availability / Location
We can offer a choice of off-site training locations throughout the UK, or, subject to suitable facilities and equipment being available, the training can be conducted on your premises. This course is also available as an Open Course at our training centres throughout the UK.

Costs
