Course International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) Demonstrator training course for anyone who needs to deliver hand-over demonstrations on scissor lifts, telescopic and articulating booms, vertical platforms, van mounted platforms, truck mounted platforms and telehandlers with integrated controls. IPAF have changed the classification of their MEWP categories which are as follows: 1a, 1b, 2a, 2b, 3a, 3b, insulated aerial device and specials (read our article on category changes here)
Course Objectives To enable delegates to deliver hand-over demonstrations (basic instruction) on mobile elevating work platforms. This is NOT an instructor's course.
Who will Benefit All those in your organisation who need to deliver hand-over demonstrations of powered access scissor lifts, self-propelled boom lifts, trailer mounted booms lifts and aerial work platforms.
Pre Qualification Anyone attending this course must have at least 12 months experience as an operator of MEWPS, and hold a current IPAF Operator qualification or a recognised equivalent.

Training Method Lectures, video, printed course material, demonstration, practical use.
Certification Successful delegates will receive an IPAF Powered Access Licence (PAL) Demonstrator Card, an IPAF Certificate of Competency, a safety guide and an IPAF log book

We recommend that you purchase our harness safety kit when you book the course at £49.95 + VAT (for equipment valued at £85!), so you are equipped to complete the course and fully protected when you go on-site after the successful completion of this course. Please Note: The kit includes the items listed above, with the exception of safety footwear that you must provide yourself on the day.
If you do not purchase the kit when booking the course, you will be required to bring your own PPE kit on the day. If you do not have a safety harness we can loan you one on the day.

Course Duration IPAF Demonstrator training courses are two days (typically 8.30am to 4.30pm daily).
Availability / Location We can offer a choice of off-site training locations throughout the UK, or, subject to suitable facilities and equipment being available, the training can be conducted on your premises. This course is also available as an Open Course at our training centres throughout the UK.
