Our Pre-Delivery Inspection Course delivers a minimum of 7 hours of instruction to a maximum of 6 delegates. This course aims at providing training to prepare and conduct a Pre-Delivery Inspection (INSP) on various types of MEWPS. Lifting equipment, including MEWPS must be inspected every six months by a competent person to ensure health and safety conditions are maintained. PDIs and in-service inspections are a vital part of any service plan, alongside the LOLER inspections to ensure MEWPs remain safe to use.
This course consists of a training room lecture, DVD presentation, written assessment and practical training and assessment.
At the end of the theory session delegates will take a written test. If they successfully pass, they will progress to the practical training and assessment where they will be required to carry out a risk assessment, and pre-delivery inspection on a range of MEWPs.

This need not preclude you from using MEWPs, provided your employer conducts an assessment and is able to put into place adequate measures, to take account of any difficulties you may have. We may be able to arrange for a translator to be available to you during your training by prior arrangement, please ask for details if you feel you may require this level of assistance.
