Course Details

The Working at height Type A Anchor installation and testing course is designed for personnel who are required to, install, or examine and test Type A anchors at work. As this training course is intended for the installer and inspector, the course will only briefly cover the roles and responsibilities for the system designer. The system designer course is available as a two-day version of this course.

The training will cover correct installation, testing, reporting, and inspection of Type A anchor devices in accordance with BS7883, BS EN795 & BS8610. The training course also covers Installation reports, and Inspection reports and certification for the client.

• Trial Testing

• Installation

• Inspection of type A anchor installation

• Testing methods for type A anchor installations

• System Tagging & Identification:

• Installation Report, Inspection & Testing Report, Certificate

• Operation and Maintenance Manual and Technical File

Practical

• Hands on introduction to a variety of anchor types

• Drill concrete to fit a resin anchor socket

• Drill brick to fit a through and compression anchor

• Magnet drill steel to install a through anchor

• Magnet drill to tap an M12 hole and fit an anchor

• Undertake a thorough examination, inspection, and test.

• Pull test resin anchors to Design and service loads using a pull testing machine

• Torque test bolted fixings.
