Who will benefit from this course:
Any personnel who are involved in manual handling and lifting at work, or have to train and assess those who are involved in manual handling in the workplace. If you are responsible in any way for the health and safety of people at work then you should attend this course.
Learning Objectives:
The aims and objectives of this course are to give staff information and training in moving and handling in the care environment.

Summary:
Manual Handling of Inanimate Objects ensures that delegates hold an understanding of safe techniques to use when lifting and moving objects of varying size and weight, so as to avoid any injury to themselves or others. The training is designed for those who undertake manual handling activities in their working role and it can be customised so that delegates can experience handling objects which they would encounter in their workplace.

A suitable classroom to accommodate 16 delegates
Award
A Training Certificate will be issued to successful delegates who complete the theory and practical sessions
Literacy, Fitness & Health
If delegates have any problems with literacy or language comprehension, or have any doubts about their fitness to do the practical session of the course, they must bring them to the attention of their employer. This need not preclude them from the practical session, provided their employer conducts an assessment and is able to put into place adequate measures, to take account of any difficulties they may have.
