Extensive IPAF MEWPs For Managers Training Courses

Course Details

Overview

IPAF MEWPs for Managers courseThe Work at Height Regulations, introduced in April 2005 places a clear duty on employers to ensure that all work at height is properly planned. This includes a thorough assessment of the risks involved, and selection of suitable equipment. It also requires that if you plan or supervise work at height, you must be competent to do so.

If your organisation uses MEWPs, then you need to know what your management responsibilities are – and what your legal responsibilities are.

This course covers what you, as a Manager or Supervisor need to know about the safe use of MEWPs on site, from planning the job and conducting a risk assessment, to selecting the right equipment and mitigating all possible risks.

Unlike the Operator courses, this training is NOT category-specific.

Who should attend this training course?

If you have responsibilities for managing or supervising the safe and cost-effective use of MEWPs in your organisation, then this course is for you.

This course is about planning, supervising and managing the use of MEWPs, and not about operating equipment. It ends with a written test that you must pass.

Upon successful completion of the theory test, you will receive an IPAF certificate.

If you hold a valid Powered Access Licence for operating equipment, you can also have the MEWPs for Managers (MM) category added to your PAL Card.

You will need to bring your safety footwear; we will lend you any other PPE needed on the day.

This course is run in English. If you are attending this course you must be able to read and understand safety notices, course literature, test questions and answers, verbal instructions and manufacturer’s instruction manuals.

You should also be reasonably fit and in good health, with no uncorrected issues that are likely to endanger or hinder yourself, or anyone else at the training venue.

We provide our specialist MEWPs for Managers training courses in our London, Essex and West Midlands training centres. Alternatively, we can provide off-site training at your premises, so contact us today to discuss your specific training requirements.
