Rescue & Evacuation at Height
Course Details
The Working at Heigh Regulations 2005 require employers to make specific provisions for emergency planning, this includes planning for emergencies and rescue for anyone working at height. This course provides awareness or a wide range of fall protection equipment together with practical training in the use of the equipment. This course will identify the dangers when working at height and give the delegates an understanding of selecting suitable anchor points. Delegates will be able to combine the safe use of fall protection equipment with the correct set up and use of rescue and evacuation products.

- Correct selection of fall protection equipment- including common hazards associated with different types of equipment.

- Safe use of safety harnesses and lanyards
- Rescue and evacuation from horizontal and vertical fall arrest systems

- Identification of safe decent paths
- Contents of rescue systems

Number of Delegates
6. All delegates must have a good level of written and spoken English, Delegates must be physically fit and be physically able to carry out the practical elements of the course. Delegates will be required to sign a medical statement before the start of the course.
PPE Requirements
Delegates to provide their own PPE including hard hat, hi vis and safety footwear. We can lend you a harness on the day of training.
Course Duration
One day (typically 08:30- 3:00)
Certification
Successful delegates will receive a Kingfisher/Ridgegear Certification valid for 3 years. Delegates must keep up their CPD by attending training to refresh their skill set.
Availability/Location
This course can be held in either our Training Centres in London or Leek, or if your site is suitable we can offer the training on your site.
Please note that certification is ONLY issued when delegates have proven the competence, They will be required to sit a multiple choice theory exam where they must achieve 80%. Delegates are required to attend a practical examination where they will be assessed on the correct use of restraint, work positioning and fall arrest working methods.
