Tower Crane Rescue, Emergencies & Evacuation
Course Details
This course is designed for rescue teams who are responsible for rescuing and evacuating workers from tower cranes. This course complies with the requirements of Construction Plant Hire Association technical note TIN013 rescue of personnel at height on Tower Cranes. Rescue teams will need to be wearing fall protection so the training will also cover rescue procedures for suspended operatives. On completion of the course delegates will be able to identify suitable anchor points and correctly set up and use a rescue kit designed for tower cranes and identify safe descent paths whilst taking care of a casualty.

Number of Delegates
1 - 6. All delegates must have a good level of written and spoken English, Delegates must be physically fit and be physically able to carry out the practical elements of the course. Delegates will be required to sign a medical statement before the start of the course.
PPE Requirements
Delegates to provide their own PPE including hard hat, hi vis and safety footwear. We can lend you a harness on the day of training.
Course Duration
One day (typically 08:30- 3:00)
Certification
Successful delegates will receive a Kingfisher/Ridgegear Certification valid for 3 years. Delegates must keep up their CPD by attending training to refresh their skill set.
Availability/Location
This course can be held in either our Training Centre’s in London or Leek, or if your site is suitable we can offer the training on your site.
Please note that certification is ONLY issued when delegates have proven the competence, They will be required to sit a multiple choice theory exam where they must achieve 80%. Delegates are required to attend a practical examination where they will be assessed on the correct use of restraint, work positioning and fall arrest working methods.
